St Andrews

The Celtic Heritage International Exchange Foundation, Inc. (C.H.I.E.F.) is dedicated to the preservation of Scottish and Celtic history and traditions, which are most visibly represented world-wide through the Scottish Highland Games and similar Celtic activities.  To that end, C.H.I.E.F. arranges, oversees and largely finances the international exchange of athletes, artisans, dancers, musicians and others who enhance these events and help to make them the grand celebrations they are.

Operating on the principal that today’s youth are the hope of the future, the majority of participants are in their early to mid-teens.  C.H.I.E.F.’s programs are designed to establish lasting friendships and ties in the host countries which will foster closer relationships between the nations themselves, while perpetuating the traditions embraced by the foundation.

C.H.I.E.F., a non-profit organization, is intended to be funded through private, public and corporate donations, as well as grants from both the United States and abroad.
